Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 17, 2026 · TrueSouth Solar Technologies

TrueSouth Solar Technologies ("TrueSouth", "we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect the information you provide when using our website (truesouthsolartech.com) and solar proposal tool. It is written in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173) of the Philippines.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

When you use our solar proposal tool, we collect the following personal information: your full name, home address, email address, mobile number, and electricity usage data (monthly bill amount or Meralco bill photos). This information is necessary to generate your personalised solar proposal.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URL. This information is collected through standard web server logs and analytics tools.

1.3 Bill image data

If you choose to upload photos of your Meralco bills, these images are processed by our AI systems to extract your electricity usage data. The images are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently on our servers after your proposal is generated.

2. How we use your information

2.1 Proposal generation

Your name, address, email, mobile number, and electricity usage data are used solely to generate your personalised solar proposal PDF and to deliver it to you via email.

2.2 Follow-up communication

We use your email address and mobile number to follow up on your proposal, answer your questions, and schedule a site visit if you choose to proceed. We will not contact you more than necessary, and you may opt out at any time.

2.3 Service improvement

We may use aggregated, anonymised data about proposal requests to improve the accuracy of our solar modelling and the quality of our proposals. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.

2.4 Legal compliance

We may use or disclose your information where required by Philippine law, court order, or regulatory authority.

3. How we share your information

3.1 Third-party AI processors

To generate your proposal, your electricity usage data is processed by our AI processing partners and our AI processing partners. These processors handle your data in accordance with their respective privacy policies and are bound by data processing agreements. No personally identifiable information is included in AI processing requests — only your electricity usage figures.

3.2 Email delivery

Your email address and proposal PDF are processed by Resend Inc. to deliver your proposal email. Resend acts as a data processor and handles your information in accordance with its privacy policy.

3.3 No sale of personal data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes. Your information is used exclusively to provide the solar proposal service and to follow up on your request.

3.4 Business transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to the same privacy protections described in this policy.

4. Data retention

4.1 Proposal data

Your name, email, mobile number, address, and proposal details are retained for a period of 3 years from the date of your proposal request, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. This retention period is necessary to support any follow-up inquiries, warranty claims, or service records related to your installation.

4.2 Bill images

Meralco bill photos uploaded through our proposal tool are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently. Images are deleted from our systems within 24 hours of proposal generation.

4.3 Analytics data

Anonymised website analytics data is retained for up to 24 months.
